Barong Tagalog & Filipiniana Care · Quezon City

Barong tagalog and Filipiniana care for Quezon City families.

Quezon City has a particularly rich Filipiniana tradition — partly thanks to the cultural calendar at UP Diliman and the surrounding heritage organizations, partly thanks to the old QC families whose closets hold heirloom barong, Maria Clara, and terno pieces three and four decades old. Our QC branches handle Filipiniana work that ranges from the everyday office barong in current rotation to the once-a-year family heirloom brought out for fiesta Sundays.

Branches that handle Filipiniana volume

Robinsons Magnolia in New Manila has the longest-tenured staff for Filipiniana specialty work — many older QC family pieces pass through this branch. SM City North EDSA captures the North Triangle and Project 6 office crowd, plus the Sacred Heart Novaliches parish community for ceremonial barong. White Plains is the convenient choice for the Katipunan and Loyola Grand Villas area.

Heritage piña and calado

Heritage pieces — barong and terno 20, 30, even 40+ years old — show up regularly at our QC branches, often inherited from grandparents and brought in once a year for fiesta use. Older pieces may have set-in yellowing that won't fully reverse. We'll tell you honestly at intake what cleaning can achieve. Piña that has lost its natural ivory tone to oxidation can be brightened but rarely restored to original. We treat these as specialty work with patient handling and per-piece pricing.

Women's Filipiniana — terno, Maria Clara, modern cuts

Filipiniana for women — terno with butterfly sleeves, Maria Clara with pañuelo overlay, modern designer pieces from Filip+Inna and Anthony Cruz Legarda — is part of our regular work at the QC branches. Butterfly sleeves require shape-preserving pressing rather than flat pressing. Pañuelo overlays with hand-embroidery need post-clean inspection. Pricing is per piece after inspection.

Pricing

We gently water-wash barong by hand, not with solvent, to protect the delicate jusi and piña fibers. Short-sleeve barong ₱255, long-sleeve ₱280. Embroidered, piña, calado, and heritage pieces quoted per piece after inspection. Women's terno and Filipiniana pieces priced per piece.
