Pressing isn't ironing — and why it matters
A household iron applies dry heat and downward pressure on a flat board. A commercial press applies steam, controlled heat, and consistent pressure across the whole garment in one stroke. The difference shows up in three places: the collar lays flat without creasing into the neck, the cuff edge stays crisp through a full workday, and the front placket sits flush without the tiny ripples that show up under fluorescent office lighting.
What we press
- Dress shirts and corporate uniforms — the bread and butter, ₱180 per shirt.
- Trousers and slacks — pressed flat with a clean leg crease, ₱180.
- Barong tagalog — hand-pressed with care around embroidery and yoke seams, ₱180 short-sleeve, ₱205 long-sleeve.
- Polo shirts and casual button-downs — ₱130 to ₱180 depending on type.
- Suit jackets and blazers — ₱230 each, pressed on a form to keep the shoulder shape.
- School uniforms — skirt pleats, blouse plackets, and trouser creases done by piece or as a uniform set.
- Table linens — round tablecloths, runners, and napkins for events, priced per piece.
1–2 day turnaround at most branches
Pressing-only orders are the fastest service we run, usually ready in 1 to 2 days. The flow is quick because the garment skips solvent cleaning entirely — it goes straight into the press queue, gets steam-pressed, hung, and tagged for pickup. Same-day service isn't available.
When pressing is the right call (vs. dry cleaning)
Pressing alone is the right call when the garment is clean but wrinkled — from a long flight, a folded suitcase, or a season in storage. If there are visible stains, food spills, perspiration odor, or makeup transfer, the garment needs dry cleaning first; pressing locks stains into the fabric and makes them harder to remove later.
Pressing for events and travel
Pressing is one of the more popular requests at the SM Mall of Asia branch — travelers staying at MOA-area hotels who need a wrinkled barong or suit refreshed for an event at Conrad, Solaire, or the SMX. The Makati branches see a similar pattern from One Ayala and Legaspi Village hotel guests. Drop off at intake and we'll have it pressed and ready within a day or two.
Combined with dry cleaning
If you're already having a garment dry cleaned, pressing is included in the cleaning price — you don't pay separately. The press fee applies only when you bring in a garment that's already clean and just needs a finish.
